It feels good to be back!

After an extended period of time off I've decided to bring back this monster. No real reason, other than a couple of birdies in my ear about bringing it back. I mean, what could it hurt?

A lot has been going on since the last time I biz-logged. I just turned 26 - it's insane how time is flying and how old I really do feel.

- I had an incredible birthday celebration with some great people -- those of you who were not there (and you know who you all are) I still love you. DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN.

- I've decided to take another extended break from drinking just to prove to myself I can do it. Last year I did it for 4+ months and it also helped me lose some weight. I'm going to try my best to go for as long as I can, but not drinking this summer is going to be a tough, tough thing to try and do.

- KU choked, again. Insert my Forrest Gump quote:

"That's all I have to say about that."

- Had myself a pretty fun mini-vacation in St. Louis with a pretty cool bunch of guys. We were up there for the Missouri Valley Tournament where Wichita State did their best KU impersonation. I'm not super attached to the Shox, but the loss to ISU really hurt. Needless to say, a lot of the guys weren't in the greatest spirits after the game. It was also St Louis' version of Mardi Gras -- didn't get too much into that, other than the $7 Long Island Iced Teas and the fact we could carry them around downtown.

- The next two days I'm moving out of this apartment. It's crazy to think I've been living alone for the past year and a half. I'll be moving in with my best friend (for the second time), his brother and dad. I'm just ready to be done with my current living situation. I don't hate it, just ready for a breath of fresh air. I feel like this time around I've got something to prove. Admittedly, I probably wasn't the best, most responsible room mate when I lived with Ricky, but I've done a lot of growing up.

- The whole losing weight, eating right is still a process. I'll be honest -- not too much going on in that department.

I'll leave you with some things I've been into since the last time we spoke:

I'll try to keep this as updated as I can. I'll leave you with one final picture of my parent's pup, who sometimes I claim as my own -- MURPHY!

Good shit.

BLOG NEKKID!

Okay, okay -- the title of my most recent blog is very misleading. I'm really not naked. Rest assured, I'm clothed. But, I almost thought about streaking home after Green Bay's defense scored me 27 points, which allowed me to win one of my fantasy leagues, and go 2-1 this week. Plus, some chick who will remain nameless (MS) wanted me to take pics of myself a la Favre and I didn't feel comfortable doing that for her. HAHA. There's your shout-out for the week.

Going 2-1 in FF this week helped soften the blow Oakland gave to KC this week. Man, that was a brutal game. BRUTAL. Next week's game against Denver is a must win. I'm off that Sunday and will be cheering/rooting/drinking super-hard for KC.

Pretty good week and weekend overall. Work has been less stressful and my favorite time of the year is starting to roll around. Love spending time with my family more than anything and these next two months I intend on doing a lot of that. Which reminds me of the little things I enjoy most. I spent time with my amazing two cousins Saturday after work. They like to play a game called "defender." It's basically me going back to my glory high-school football days (okay, okay I only played one year and I was a lineman) and hurlin' the ole' pigskin around.

But, I was basically quarterbacking while it was 2v2 football. The weather was perfect, the scenery was perfect, and just being alive and hanging with my family was perfect. That, to me, is what life's about and what I want my life to always revolve around (also a pretty lady too).
Also; X-mas is coming around. I'm in the giving mood. So, those of you that are near and dear to me -- leave me a wish-list and/or text me something you'd like for X-mas within reason. I'm getting to the age where it isn't about receiving gifts as it is spending time with loved ones and giving gifts to others.

HOWEVER:
I'd like any KU/Chiefs apparel, a beard trimmer, HOODIES, gift cards to anywhere (clothing stores, Best Buy, iTunes), aaaaandd KU basketball tickets to any home game this year (I know that's a bit of a stretch, but I'm sure if you all collectively put like $10 in a piece it'd work out much easier).

I'm off the next two days and I've started constructing a to-do list these for these next couple of days. Priority numero uno is cleaning out my car. I'm doing this first thing tomorrow. I need to run some errands and start X-mas shopping with money I don't have. But, that's okay, isn't it? If you guys would like to help contribute to my procrastinating ways and go shop, grab lunch or anything let me know!

Have a good night all.
CJT.

Severely slacking...

Hello there strangers. Long time, no blog. I've been bad about keeping this bad updated. Let me get you all up to date.

No, I'm not watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles while I blog this time. I'm watching something way more demented -- Freddy vs. Jason, sick huh? Jason would win in a landslide, just my opinion -- haha. So, if there are any out of the ordinary or perverse comments in this blog that is why.

Let's see what I can bore you guys with. Oh yes! Halloween. I had a kick-ass time the 30th and 31st of this month. Both nights were an amazing time. The 30th Ricky, Cobey and I went to a houseparty and then to Caboose. I must say -- the houseparty was a blast. Ricky's costume and my costume got a bunch of laughs. I was Allan from the Hangover and he was my baby Carlos, how sweet huh? The costumes turned out pretty awesome and they were pretty cheap. I have to give props to my wonderful Aunt Becca for making my costume what it was with the One Man Wolf Pack front. Perfect.

If you all have seen the movie you know what's going on in the first picture. I'm not sure it needs much more of an explanation. The second is of my "crying." It's pretty funny -- maybe I'll take a video of it, or better yet record Ricky doing it. Frickin' hilarious.

The morning after Halloween was a bit rough. But, Gatorade is my anti-hangover. I highly advise it. Thank me later. The night of I hung out with the family which meant a lot. They had a firepit in the middle of the yard and a bunch of candy for trick or treaters. Admittedly, I didn't stay out there too long because I had to get my football fix in (I typically work 11-4 on most Sundays). So, I had to watch Pittsburgh lay a big turd in New Orleans (c'mon MIKE WALLACE AND HEATH MILLER, WTF!).

Both nights were perfect.

As for other things -- I've still continued to try and eat better. It's been a tough stretch. I've been eating grapes for breakfast for the most part. I've just been really lacking any sort of walking or work out regimen. This is going to bite me in the ass, especially since it has started getting colder. Anyone with any sort of suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I also had all you can eat wings with a great bunch of people Monday Night. But, I'll share that at a later date.

Not much going on in my life really at the moment. Preparing for my favorite holiday this month. I'm beyond stoked. Feeding my face all day and watching football. Please, if it gets better than that, tell me. Also, in less than two weeks I'll be seeing Dane Cook live -- that's going to be awesome.

In closing, I'd like to wish my mom an awesome time with her mother in Garnett, and wish her a safe, quick travel back! Love you ma.

Peace easy,
Cody

Go ninja, go ninja go!

First and foremost, I'm currently watching Ninja Turtles II while I blog. So, please don't judge. When I was little I used to have a ton of these -- and I mean a ton. A huge bagful. At some point, I'd like to give them to my kids. Granted, TMNT may be nonexistent when I have kids, if I do (ladies, I'd like two please)!

I know I've already failed my 2-3 followers and I'd like to apologize. I'm sure you guys are super upset and for that I apologize. You guys have not missed a whole lot -- that I can promise you.

I'd first like to keep you updated on my meals.

On Wednesday I had grapes for breakfast (one of my favorite fruits), a leftover Navaho Taco from Carlos o' Kellys (I know that isn't super healthy, but it was a relatively small portion), a couple of pepperjack cheese (the best cheese in the universe) sticks while at work. For dinner I had a couple of bratwursts and some chips. I managed to drink water all day, which isn't a feat to most. I know a lot of that doesn't seem like super health food to you guys but compared to what I've been eating lately it is.

Today I had some more grapes for breakfast, a banana nut muffin. I certainly cheated during lunch -- and I attribute that to a stressful day at work and a time crunch. I had some Sonic and a cherry limeade. The whole purpose of me starting to eat healthy is to avoid pop (or soda. for you "different" people) and fast food. I crumbled today and looking back at it I'm upset with myself. For dinner I had a salad. I wasn't super hungry for dinner because I've been stressed out and actually had a slight headache this evening. I never get headaches.

So, there you have it. That's what I've eaten the past couple of days. A lot of iffy items, but much better than what I've been chowing down on the past month or so. I'm going to take my weight on Monday -- I should do this prior to Halloween because I intend on consuming a lot of alcohol. So, I will post my weight for everyone in the world to see. Please be nice. Allowing people, whether it be my friends, family or strangers see my weight will be more motivation to lose the lbs. Also, for those of you not in the know -- I'm going to be Alan from the Hangover, and my accomplice (my best buddy) is going to be Carlos. Well, an overgrown Carlos with some facial hair (it's pretty much baby fuzz). If I don't see you guys that night I'll be sure to post some pictures on here for you to laugh at. But, in closing, I'd love to leave you guys with this:

If you didn't enjoy that, please check your pulse.

Hope you enjoyed my second biz-log.

Have a good night all,
CJT.

An introduction, if you will.

It's 12:46 am and I have to be at work in less than 7 hours. I'm no insomniac, by any means. Just have a lot of random things on my mind for no reason. So, I decided to create a blog about me, how my life revolves around my family, and the path to weight loss. Please, follow me -- if you have nothing better to do.

Well, my name's Cody, twenty-five year old bachelor who lives on his own and works full-time. Pretty standard single male -- love sports, beer, pretty ladies and playing video games. I'm also very family-oriented, they come before anything in life, even God. But, that's a topic to be discussed at a later date. Please don't judge me after my previous sentence, it's just the truth.

Basically in this blog (my own online diary; I've never had one of these!) I'm going to track things I run across (women, or lack thereof, my process in weight loss, etc). I know you all must be thinking this is some sort of self-loathing blog -- but it's really not. This is just giving me a means of communicating my thoughts in life and potentially communicating them with people in the same shoes, or have been once before.

I say this a lot, and I may be the best procrastinator (if there's such a thing) in the world. But, tomorrow I'm going to begin to eat healthier, and at least start walking. At one point in my life I gave up beer for 4 months straight. That wasn't nearly tough as I originally thought as I'm not a hardcore partier like some of my friends. I tend to think I'm super mature (not saying they're immature at all) for my age. I just enjoy a nice night with my cousins (lil' Cody/Bobby), or a night watching Swamp People, American Pickers, or Pawn Stars with my family. If any of you say these shows suck I will come find you and smack your face. Okay, just kidding.

So, please, feel free to venture with me into becoming a responsible, healthy adult. I will try to update this as often as I can -- not to annoy you guys but to track things I've come across; or a potential food diary for my own good. So, it begins tomorrow.

Goodnight folks,
Cody the n00b blogger.
